Ancient Village from the 1400s

The concept of a meeting place between significant historical tradition and modern productivity comes to life in the creation of the Technological Village.

A site that encompasses within its high cobblestone walls the Villa dei Conti Ducco, the Quattrocento Refinement Gallery, precious hectares of vineyard, and all the necessary technological equipment.

It is here that every single production phase takes place. The company management of the complete winemaking process, from the vineyard to bottling, enables the creation of wines entirely produced at origin.

Over the centuries, the place that was once a summer residence of the aristocratic family, hosting important banquets with illustrious figures and serving as a meeting point for hunting parties, has transformed into the stage for the slow growth of vines and the long maturation of wine.

Technology

The photovoltaic system.

In the Historic Village of Conti Ducco, the winemaking tradition embraces technological innovation for greater environmental and territorial preservation, which have always represented our primary assets.

Among the most recent innovations is the photovoltaic system, a fundamental step that makes us energy self-sufficient, allowing us to power all the necessary cellar operations. This choice was made at the initiative of Count Giorgio, who, with his visionary outlook, aspires to achieve excellence in all fields, thus making the foundations of a historic company even stronger.

Sustainability

For us, sustainability is a journey that unfolds and enriches itself with the passing of seasons and years.

Guided by this principle, every year we strive to increasingly integrate agro-mechanical practices among the rows, gradually reducing the use of herbicides until their complete elimination for weed control. Additionally, we have introduced the practice of green manure in more vineyards, using natural fertilizers to enrich the soil and support biodiversity in the vineyard.

We pay particular attention to our Cru vineyards, tending to each plant meticulously. When replanting becomes necessary, we employ the technique of partial vineyard replanting, essential for preserving the average age of the most renowned vineyards and their quality yield.
