The 15th-Century Palace
of the Conti Ducco in Franciacorta

In the heart of the Franciacorta territory stands the Historic Residence of the Conti Ducco. The magic of this fifteenth-century villa lies in its ability to narrate, through its forty-seven rooms, numerous frescoes, and precious statues, the grandeur of 1000 years of the noble family’s history.

The components of the palace date back to different historical periods; the oldest part dates from the fifteenth century with subsequent renovations in the 1600s and 1700s. Observing the imposing facades, one can perceive the path of historical and aesthetic evolution, which finds complete harmony as a whole.

Inside, the palace spans three floors: the ground floor, with its luxurious lounges and quirky sitting rooms; the first floor, where the heirs of the Conti Ducco reside today, and the Attic, used as a private archive of extraordinarily valuable art objects and important historical documents.

Each room of the villa remains fully furnished with original furniture passed down through generations of the Ducco family who lived here, further enriched by the acquisitions of Count Piero and Countess Rosa.

A true treasure trove that preserves centuries of history while maintaining its timeless charm throughout the years.

A Grand Architectural Masterpiece
Open to the Public

Imagine a small castle perched atop a gentle hill, its grandeur shielded by towering cobblestone walls. This is the enchanting sight that greets travelers along the tree-lined Via Degli Eroi when they encounter Villa Ducco. Stepping through the ancient gates, visitors are transported into a world of splendor within the terraced garden, offering one of Franciacorta’s most iconic vistas, immortalized by artist Luigi Basiletti in his 1832 masterpiece.

It is precisely in this area of the garden, between the side facade of the Villa and the Vineyard of Brolo Alto, that our visitors’ journey begins among History, Territory, and Method.
